Multiforme exanthema with solitary crust

A 25-year-old student presented to the emergency room with an intensely itchy, trunk-dominant maculopapular, partly multiforme exanthema that had appeared the day before. A single, scabby, crusty lesion on the back of her left hand had been present for some time (Fig. 1).
